During the Golden Age of the automobile, the great marques held glamorous salons to showcase their finest new offerings to the elite of the driving public. Our friends at the Packard Proving Grounds are bringing back that magic with the 1931 Packard Salon Special Showing, a new event held at the historic Proving Grounds site north of Detroit.
As the name suggests, this gathering will feature 1931 Packards displayed on the historically significant Proving Grounds site. Show cars are invite-only. The public is invited to view the cars on Wednesday, May 29 from Noon to 5 PM; ticket cost is $20. A black tie-optional dinner follows at 6 PM, with a cost of $100 per seat. This is a great way to support the ongoing restoration work at the Packard Proving Grounds, as well as an opportunity to learn about the many great improvements that have already been made.
